Les rotavirus sont les principaux responsables des gastro-entérites aiguës virales hivernales des nourrissons et des jeunes enfants de moins de 5 ans, chez qui elles peuvent entrainer des complications. A la lumière des dernières données d’efficacité, de sécurité et de tolérance concernant les deux vaccins disponibles en France et pour protéger au plus tôt les très jeunes enfants, la HAS recommande aujourd’hui de vacciner les nourrissons de 6 semaines à 6 mois contre les infections à rotavirus.
